I must admit that I've enjoyed the first book a bit more than this one.
Nevertheless, this is still a very sweet, nice love story

This story was a sweet follow-up to the first book in the series, "Rescuing Lord Inglewood." Although the romance in this one was less than sparkling, the writing was enjoyable and easy to read.
Grace Everly, the quiet and unassuming twin sister to Hope (who is her opposite in personality) is in love with their childhood friend Jacob. Meanwhile, he has eyes only for Hope. But when the twins' father decides to send Grace on a long sea voyage with friends and keep Hope at home to teach her a lesson about self-control, Grace knows she cannot possibly go on such a journey. She forms a plan to pose as Hope for a couple of weeks until Hope is able to embark on the voyage. And who is the only one to recognize what's happening? Jacob. His mixed feelings about the plot and his struggles to clarify who is really well-suited to him form the rest of the book.
I think the author has a pretty good grasp on Regency language, and her plot is creative enough, so I enjoyed the writing. However, there are not really any surprises when it comes to the character development or the relationship.
This is a fast and easy read when someone is in the mood for Regency romance.

Discovering Grace is a sweet continuation to the Inglewood series. Getting to know Grace Everly and Jacob Barnes more fully was so fun! They are characters who will surely find a place in your heart.
The plot was exciting and fun! I loved the premise of the twin sisters switching places and everything that transpired afterward. The friends to lovers trope was well written and did not disappoint. The love in this book, and all the cute and tension filled scenes that came along with it, were too good. They left me feeling all the feels. The ending was perfection. I loved this book and will definitely be reading it again!

Thank you to the author for access to the audiobook through BookSprout.

This was such a cute story! The premise was interesting and different and it immediately caught my attention. I loved how the story developed and meeting different characters that will show up in the other books of this series. This is book 2 in a series and I haven’t read book 1 (yet!) but it didn’t seem to affect my enjoyment of this book at all. I am excited for the rest of the series! This story makes me want Hope’s, Issac’s and Neil’s stories and I’m thrilled to know those are already written. I will be reading them asap! I listened to the audio version on Spotify and it was very well done and highly enjoyable.

Sally Britton writes endearing sweet romances. This is no exception. The second in the Inglewood series, we find Grace, who secretly pines for soon-to-be local vicar, and childhood friends, switching places with her twin sister Hope, so that she might stay in England while her sister goes on an adventure of epic proportions.

Jacob, aforementioned soon-to-be vicar has been infatuated with Hope practically his whole life. As such, he knows, immediately, that Grace is not Hope.

Will Jacob see that Grace is better for him than Hope? Will Grace win Jacob's heart? Can Grace keep up the ruse of being her sister? Only time will tell.

Grace and Hope are identical twins. After a carriage accident that was Hope's fault, their father decides to send Grace on a year-long trip with friends and keep Hope at home as punishment. Grace is scared to leave all she knows and travel for a year, so she decides to switch places with Hope. Jacob is about to become the vicar. He goes to visit Hope, but he realizes it's not Hope at all but Grace. As Grace and Jacob spend time together, their feelings surface. Jacob isn't sure Grace will make a good vicar's wife because of her deceit.

I loved this book. I loved seeing Grace and Hope's dynamic. They are so different, yet very close to each other. I also loved seeing Grace and Jacob's friendship blossom into love. I think my favorite part was when Grace stood up to her father. I think it took his ultimatum for Grace to speak up for herself and go after what she wants.

*This is a sweet clean Regency Romance.

The story was predictable but very sweet. Much like the first book, there were a few moments of chuckling and even a moment of just feeling so badly for Miss Everly.

I really did like Jacob's character in the story. He seems so genuine, and his care of others, including his future parish, is something that someone in his situation should concern himself with. I love that he was careful from whom he sought council and definitely loved the advice his brother gives. Jacob might easily be my favorite person in this story.

The audio was narrated by Marian Hussey; she is fantastic, always a favorite narrator. I said it on the first of this series, and it is worth repeating, Sally Britton and Marian Hussey pair perfectly together!

After being involved with a scandalous race, Grace’s parents are forcing her to travel to the West Indies instead of her sister. Grace will do just about anything to stay. This includes swapping places with her twin sister and lying to everyone until Hope is safely away. Too bad the first day, her friend Jacob figures it out.

I really enjoyed this book. I love Grace’s character arc. She starts out doubting herself and her temperament, but in the end understands that it’s enough to be herself. Jacob’s character arc is lovely, too. I love how the author deals with forgiveness. One of my favorite moments of the book was the conversation between Isaac and Jacob about forgiving and how all people make mistakes.

This is a really sweet friends to more story. I would recommend. You don’t have to read the first book, but it’s fun to see the characters again.
