wow! this was a very creepy, weird scary one y’all. i think this book goes much more deeper then some people give it credit for tbh.

there’s some government stuff.
exploitation.
desperate people doing desperate things. it definitely gives they don’t give a flying f*ck about us. you’re just another rat on a running wheel type of sh*t.

& i am very happy i ended my favorite month with a high rating conscious dystopian horror ☺️

I don’t think this book knows what it wants to be. It’s dystopian, horror, science-fiction, pseudo-historical fiction…that is to say it’s kind of everywhere and not in a good way. It never fleshes out anything beyond maybe the main character, Lena. Everything else is shadowy and not really understood. You never get a sense of what’s really happening since there is so much mind-altering occurring. It’s just sort of messy.

I just tried to give this book a chance. But I couldn't go beyond chapter 5. It was boring and uninteresting.
Nothing really happening, I didn't wanted to keep reading just to see if something was going to happen, a plot is supposed to tie you to your seat because it is appealing, it has actions and suspense. This was just plain boring.
