Part of me saying this not upto the mark. But Leo never fails my enthusiasm through out the book

This is a great conclusion to the Leo Demidov trilogy. This novel allows readers to see the ghosts of Leo's past and how he deals with them in his old age. Having been introduced to Leo when he was in his twenties, it's interesting to observe the different man he has become over a few decades.

A satisfying conclusion to the series. I will miss you, Leo.

This third installment in a trilogy was almost as good as the first book, Child 44, although it was more of a thriller rather than horror. There are no good guys or good countries (Russia, Afghanistan, USA). This could be read without reading the first two books but is a compelling conclusion to the series.

Child 44 was excellent and the sequels are unnecessary and increasingly unbelievable.
