So many mixed feelings about this book, but overall it is a beautiful and messy look into someone's most intimate details. Highly recommend.

I kinda rushed through this book when I first read this, but I'd like to reread this at some point so I can get quotes that I like and just enjoy it. Dunham portrays everything rather emotionally and seriously. I can see why some people don't like the writing style, but I liked it.

really enjoyed the parts about name change, trans friends and top surgery

the 3 pages about being fixated on putting stuff up your ass were surprising but not unwelcome??? I guess???

relationship and romance played a bit too large of a role in this for me to enjoy it fully, I think. it took me out of the reading experience a bit even though it fit in with the themes quite well. I just couldn't get into the emotions in those parts, I got a little bored
