This was a super cute book! I appreciate the Queerness that is represented with the characters. Definitely a sapphic book that I'd recommend!!

checking off another 2023 ace release from my list!

Felicity is one high-strung character - I am not suprised that I both annoyed and delighted by her which seems to be my new status quo when it comes to YA novels (i.e. no longer for me, really). The scenes that involve her family where definitely more interesting to me than her two changing friendships and I was over her need to organize and control everything very quickly but I can also recognize how it feels to be 16 and afraid of the future and wanting to feel like you know what you are doing.

(Also why is this labeled a romcom, it still very much feels like a coming-of-age story for me. The romance does not take center stage in the book and neither does the comedy.)

Congrats to my former classmate, Haley, on her second YA novel! Such a fun read for my wedding-filled summer.
