 A varied collection of essays featuring a few really strong entries (by Bill Buford, Amy Irvine, Helen Rosner, and Dayna Evans), a few very good ones (Ruby Tandoh, Mayukh Sen, Eric J. Wallace, Navneet Alang, Jonathan Kauffman), some filler, and a couple whose inclusion in a "best of" volume I honestly can't comprehend. So, standard for this series. If you've liked previous editions, you'll surely like this year too.
