This was the May pick for Read Christie 2023, and I’d never read a Mary Westmacott novel before so was curious.

It was a gentle read following the life of Celia, in detail, from childhood to middle age. It was very low stakes and I missed the anticipation, wit, and surprise of Christie’s crime novels.

I did learn a new word from looking at some other reviews though:

Meh. This is pretty much a retelling of Dame Agatha's autobiography, only with the names changed.
