It’s hard to keep up a series at the same high quality all the way through. This one did a good job. Ended differently than I would’ve liked, however. In fact, I hated what became of Katniss in the end (before the epilogue) - felt like it defeated the point of the whole series. Also, I found the twist underwhelming. Rounding up to four foot storytelling, but the story itself, because of the ending, was a disappointment.

I mostly enjoyed this book… until the last hundred pages or so, which was painful to get through and not even very enjoyable just because it’s so depressing… but otherwise, it wasn’t bad! I really liked all the politics of it and how complex all the characters were. Be warned before you read it, it’s not “fun” except for like 2 scenes maybe, but plot-wise I think it was a great end to the series.

This wasn’t the best book in the series but a great way to end Katniss’s journey of being a rebel that fought for the freedom of her people.

The love triangle continued to be annoying but otherwise I liked the story. It reminded me a lot of ATLA in the way it addressed what lines should be crossed when handling enemies. The epilogue rubs me the wrong way because it sounds like Katnis was coerced/worn down into having children.

This book was definitely my least favorite out of the trilogy. I did enjoy it but the book had some pacing issues. Katniss really infuriated me in this book, even though she had been through a lot she is still just a teenager which i understand but her actions were uncalled for. In this book she acted in her emotions a lot and people got hurt and killed because she wasn’t thinking things through. This book was very tragic  and all of the deaths felt very unnecessary. Overall I think this book was pretty good i just think it had some flaws that could have been fixed.
