Who gave these kids the right to be so dang lovable?! I can't get enough of Laney, and all her siblings are so thoughtful and generous. I love that kids have these books to set an example of what goodness really looks like, even when the challenges are hard.

Such a fun, sweet read. Had a great time reading the book, which actually helped serve as a wonderful palate cleanser after reading thick, fantasy books with heavy tropes. It always pays off, reading one of the Vanderbeekers books!
