The misogyny that Kitty Pryde has against Emma Frost is truly PEAK Joss Whedon. The ONLY good things about this book are when SHIELD and Nick Fury are criticized for centering America in their fight against evils. Otherwise, this book is a horrible injustice to female X-Men characters most notably Kitty Pryde, with her “holier than thou” boot licker attitude constantly snubbing Emma Frost by rubbing Professor X’s lessons on morality in her face.

I wish I would have read this before I knew what a doucher Joss Whedon turned out to be, because he’s great at writing characters. It’s not wonder why Marvel Studios hired him to write and direct the Avengers movie.

He’s notorious for snappy dialogue, which can be obnoxious at times, but it’s not too bad here.

Joss Whedon writing an X-Men story arc? Of course I've been reading it from the beginning. It starts off with a bang and a few surprises so this first volume is definitely worth checking out. I think there's a lot in the middle that's just comic filler and kind of obnoxious, but he has to leave some things open for the next writer, doesn't he? Although, if you read beyond this volume to the end of the arc - and I HIGHLY suggest that you do, if you're any kind of X-Men fan at all - this story will blow your mind and break your heart, guaranteed.

Aww, Piotr.

Someone's trying to wipe out the mutants. Again!

And Emma's up to something. Again.
