This follows Eden 24 who is on a photography and journalism trip in Uganda Africa to see the wildlife. After the group get captured the man of the jungle swoops in and saves her. This man was raised in the jungle after a tragic incident. Once Eden starts communicating with the wild man she starts to unravel his past and discovers how he came one with the jungle. This journey takes you on love, loss and the future standing before you.

I loved this retelling, it was such a joy to read. It has been many years since I have watched or seen Tarzan and this was such a feel-good read. There was a great plot and a bit of spice but how Eden and Thorne are drawn to each other you can feel the love and passion. Thorne is locked on his mate from the moment he lays eyes on her and you know he will treat her with the kindest heart and love her till the end. The pacing of the book was great. I also enjoyed the emotional feeling I got while reading what happened to Thorne young and I was on edge at the end. Also, the epilogue made me happy.

I will like to say this is told in third person if you’re not a fan and the chapters a quite long so glad I had the audiobook to listen to while reading along my physical.
I enjoyed the audiobook it took a little to get into but the overall performance by Lucy Rivers and Shane East was great.

Life is pain, life is scars, life is fear. Life is also love, family, joy, and bravery.
You cannot live in the past. I had a full life in the forest.
The forest brought me to Eden, and she brought me home to you.

An insta-love story between two human. One who’s heart belong to the jungle and the other to photography. What happens when they meet?

At the age of three. Throne and his parents got into a plane crash which leads to their pilot dying. Unfortunately, few weeks later, they got ambushed by gold diggers criminals and killed. One of them decide to “spare” T bcz he is a baby.

Eden is a photographer is when she goes on an adventure to Africa to take pictures, she also gets ambushed by gold diggers criminals. As she was about to get shot, Throne comes and saves her.
Throne is mesmerized by her. By being the only human was hard on him and seeing her, same as him and beautiful was a shock to him.
As for Eden, she also gets starstruck at how attractive was and was conflicted on getting attached to him:
Thorne Haywood, Lord of the Jungle, was a fairytale prince.
Eden was worried she might—no, definitely would—fall in love with him.

As they get to spend time together, Eden gets to learn more about T’s parents dead and also make him meet his family back “home”.
We also get to see some conflicts and romance/smut.

Surprisingly the way the author wrote Thorne is kinda endearing. Because normally I would have taught that the author would write him as completely primal but in this book, we see tenderness towards Eden and also a virgin who can make a woman orgasm. He understands her body language and also knows consent without the need of her explaining whatsoever:
You are my future, my mate, my destiny. My everything.”

The only thing I don’t like is that they named their baby Jane…. Like it could be anything but that…..

PS: btw this story reminds me of the live action of Tarzan.
