Not for me. I actually like the writing which is why this isn't one star. The story, not so much, and I think the characters are a bit too dramatic for my tastes. I gave up (DNFd) about 30% into the story...So many people like it, though, so anyone reading this review, should form their own opinion.

I had no idea what I was getting into with this book and it was a wild ride from page one - and I mean that in the best way. Zahra is hilarious and relatable and a toughie! Guilio has no idea what is happening but as long as he is near Zahra - that seems to be all that matters. I laughed, I cried - I sweated! I am also now diving into an entire backlist to read everything by Katrina Jackson. I wanted more of his angst but otherwise just an absolute knockout!

I highly recommend this for people who love a romantic suspense movie or book!

I don’t understand how we went from the quality of Shae to the amazingness of Zahra. This story was amazing and everything I needed.

Gloriously dirty, both circumstances and sex. Very much interested in seeing these characters and family continue.

Hitman, now that’s a loaded gun!

Ok, Katrina Jackson had me hooked from the first lines. She had a sister cooking and reading, walking around the house and reading, ignoring the family and reading! Zahra was the ultimate comeback story from some serious bull. The fact that she basically goes on a f-you tour of Italy on her ex-fiancée dime, eventually with a hot Hitman who knows her body better in 2 days than Ryan did in almost an entire decade is epic. She starts the trip crying her eyes out and hiding behind giant I’ll-gotten Chanel shades to being an exploratory exhibitionist that can’t get enough of the Italian gunman Giulio. He thinks he can get rid of Zahra when his world comes gunning for him, literally, but she realizes her life is her own now more than ever and no one is going to make HER decisions...no matter what.

Enjoyable

There was something really enduring about this couple. I enjoyed reading their story. Very quick and easy book to read. Very steamy. I enjoy the author’s writing, easy to follow. Once you get past some of the typos and grammatical errors. I am now on to the next books. I am really enjoying this series

This. Had. Everything. lol
Ok, it had everything I personally enjoy in a mafia romance - scorned lover heads to Italy to forget the cheating ex-fience while drinking her problems away CHECK, hot bad boy in tiny swin trunks CHECK, steamy love scenes OMG CHECK. Shae and Sal make appearances, too!
