I wasn't sure about this one going into it, and I have a lot I would change but the ending really did it for me. It was definitely hard to read (check the content warnings) but the conversation around it was so validating and emotional and thoughtful.

I really appreciate that I started this series after a good portion of the series was out. If I only had book three I’m not sure I could have continued further. It took a seriously dark turn…. And it was more detailed than I definitely felt and feel comfortable with. But the series is worth continuing into.

I love this series. It has been awhile since I've read this one so I forgot some of the details.

My heart absolutely broke for Mercy and what Tim did to her

. The relationships with the main characters in this series is amazing. Despite everything they all have such love for one another and always have each other's back.

Trigger warning: the last 25% of the book revolves around Mercy being sexual assaulted under the influence of fae magic, which also causes her to gaslight herself into contemplating suicide because of how the men in her life will react to her being assaulted. This was extremely triggering and reinforcing of unhealthy beliefs (even though a minor character stepped in to monologue about why this was happening to Mercy). In my opinion, this sobering topic was not handled in a sensitive manner.
