Bohužel, tahle série mě opravdu nezaujala. Ty dvě hvězdičky jsou tam proto, že si z ní čtenářky MOŽNÁ odnesou nějaké to ponaučení o morálních zásadách a podobně ... i když třeba občas až přehnaně negativní prezentace víry mě docela štvala a to ani nejsem věřící :D

Honestly such an awful book, racism, misogyny and homophobia rife and a boring plot that could have been condensed into fifty pages; boring worldbuilding that just felt lacking; very little introspection;

I used to start books and never finish them so I promised myself I would finish everyone I started...I wish I didn't have to continue reading this book. I love books about supernatural things but maybe I have been naive to think that theology could be kept out of these kinds of books. This book is for teenagers and young teenagers at that at least that is what the voice of the book felt like. And yet it was full of references to their theology, where they perform rituals and stuff like that. I am not a fan of pushing this belief on the reader even though it is what the character is living. Continuing on with the religion thing they made people that believe in God closed minded and not willing to look past the changes that the character was through. I understand there needs to be opposition in a story line or else it is super boring but as a religious and open minded person I was kind of offended. I finished the books though and realized that I kind of wasted my time.
