She spoke as if she belonged to an anti-sausage society or a league for the suppression of eggs.

I guess I didn't realize going into it that it was basically a book of short stories - and I'm not a huge fan of short stories. That said, I could see how it would be kinda amusing...maybe.

Some good stories, some a bit samey. Overall a good read though, and plenty of laughs, will seek out more!

This was somewhat comedic. Imagine Sherlock Holmes crossed with The Pickwick Papers. All the situations was really over the top contrived and designed to make a point.

None of the characters were relatable but I think part of the point of the humor might have been mocking this class of inherited gentry and the curses of their priviledges.

Delightful as always, but about half the short stories are not Bertie and Jeeves but some early incarnation of the pair. Still enjoyable, but I am definitely here for Bertie and Jeeves and Bingo and Aunt Agatha specifically.
