This was a nice, feel-good holiday read, although everything was tied up a little too neatly in the end. The ending also essentially changed the whole vibe of the book from "Found Family matters." to "Non-romantic relationships are really only a stand-in for the 'real thing.'" For all this book has been hyped as a story about family, it really centers around heteronormative (yes, even the queer love story) ideas about relationships. I enjoyed the two main characters alternating as narrators. And I normally enjoy Brittany Pressley reading the part of millennial women, but her reading. of the men in her chapters sounded so cliché, it was comical.
