A very fast, action-heavy book with a teenage protagonist who is blackmailed into working with MI6. I vaguely remember reading it and perhaps a few others when I was younger. Interesting to reread.

Alex Rider isn’t as good a spy as I remembered (despite being experienced in absolutely everything that comes up), but it’s still a gripping read. If you wanted to read deeper, there is some criticism of government in the actions of the prime minister and also the blackmail from MI6.
