One day I will meet Rick Riordan. On that day I may murder him, but equally so I may just dissolve into a puddle of tears and appreciation.

Reread 2024: Mark of Athena is a fan favourite and for good reason; this book fucking SLAPS.

This book really captivated me! I enjoyed the storyline, the character growth, and the dynamic of the team. The ending made me want to scream!

I love Rick Riordan's writing so much. I keep forgetting how fun it is to read until I pick up his books again. They are so engaging and lovely to read on long car rides. I get so invested in his stories. This book was especially special to me because I listened to it religiously during a tough time in my childhood, and it didn't disappoint, I loved it. The humor that he can balance with the plot's tension is masterful and I can't praise this book well enough. I'm so eager to read the others because I don't remember anything after this book, so I'm excited! :)

Close to the end, I loved
how the guys showed appreciation for what each did to help the others. It was very heartwarming.

As someone whose favorite character is Annabeth, I automatically knew this was gonna be one of my favorites in the series! I loved seeing all of the characters come together and go on an adventure together. This book is just so fun!

I started this after I got into a reading slump, so it did take me about a month to finish this book, but it was one of those things where I was in the reading slump, it took forever for me to find the motivation to read it, but once I did, I finished it in, like, two days. And that kind of happened with the next two books as well. I read the first two in a day each, right after the other. So, this isn't a slow book, I just read it slow. My advice is: If you're in a reading slump, don't read this while you're in it, because it's better to be able to fully appreaciate it while you're reading it, instead of forcing yourself to read it.

Sidenote: I got into my reading slump a year and a couple of weeks ago, and I'm still in it. If you're able to respond to these, can someone PLEASE tell me how to get out of it?! I'm desperate at this point ToT

This is my fav book in the series so far. I love the characters sm. Percabeth is awesome in this, especially with that ending. Every time nico is mentioned I feel like crying lol.
Some parts including Frank are a bit weird tho. They had to keep saying Chinese when mentioning Frank.  (ik he’s Chinese but they don’t say “American” and “spanish” every time they talk about the other characters, do they?)
Be careful because there are lots of graphic descriptions (imo) in some parts tho. And be even more careful if you have a vivid imagination and have arachnophobia.
