Forbidden lovers. It took awhile for the spice to develop but once it did, it was pretty good. I liked this book but I knew where it was going from about page 100. The ending, while predictable, did make me happy.

Okay, so I like reading romance novels, I like the smut but I also really like emotions and tension and all there is to it. This one didn’t quite check all the boxes for me. I‘m sure there‘s people who like it, but this time there were way too many sex scenes for me and they were also so graphic and brutal? Definitely did not appreciate that, the author could have spent more time with letting the characters deal with stuff in a more healthy, emotional way instead of fucking each other every time?? Like, maybe it‘s a coping mechanism but they didn‘t really had one serious, well written out conversation. I‘m a bit sad because I really liked the princess-bodyguard-thing at first, but please, not like that.
