I loved this middle grade sci-fi mystery! It kept me guessing until the very end and definitely surprised me. I look forward to seeing what Dashiell gets up to in future books. His little sister, Violet, provided some fun comedic moments. It's nice to see a supportive family as well-- Dash's parents aren't a big part of the story but they are good parental figures when they do show up, and even the siblings have a few sweet moments. The tech is very fun and impressive. I heard Stuart Gibbs say at an author event that he actually has an astronaut friend who helped a lot in his research. While this is a murder mystery, there isn't anything graphic about it.Â

Delightful, well-written, engaging middle grade mystery.
I re-read this one for fun and to potentially continue the series fresh. I love this book. I think Stuart Gibbs is a good author with engaging characters. He kept me hooked and interested the whole time.

We listened to Space Case on audio as a family, and it was really good! Gibbs kept us all guessing, and none of us figured out the mystery. We're definitely going to listen to the next book in the series.

Such a great book I decided to get out of a slump by reading my childhood favorites and Stuart Gibbs is one of my favorites! I loved reading the first fun jungle books and space has always been a love of mine!
The cast is super charming and the mystery was very engaging even now that I’ve grown up!
TW for a little hint of ableism but it’s not really touched on

I read this out loud to my 9 year old son and we both really enjoyed it. A fun murder mystery in space with just enough sarcasm and poop jokes to hook my boy but not too much to tire me out. We had a great time reading it together. Recommended for ages 7-11.

Dash is an adventurous and kind kid who is really upset about Mr.Holtz death and he doesn't think that his death is not on purpose. It is a sad and hard book to get through without getting tense. The ending is the best ending. The part where theyÂ

I really tried to like this book I really did but its just too slow paced for me, The book rambles too much on different things like the race of everyone for a full page and just such big descriptions for nothing at all. This book could be really good that I would read over again if it was not so meh and so lenthy for no reason I but a highlight is its comedy but its not enough to make the book great .hope this helps the author improves.
