This book lives up to its reputation and is a very good slow-burn book. Loved the characters can’t wait to read more from this author! My favorite character was definitely Aaron he had me giggling, blushing, and kicking my feet with his words and flirting DEF RECOMMENDED

Fun fact: my fave pastime is shitting on popular books (not because I’m a hater but because they’re usually not that good) but this one was one of the very few that actually lived up to the hype.

The relationship development was very organic, especially for an enemies to lovers one. A bit draggy and slow at times, and I personally feel that the part where they attended Aaron’s fundraiser event before Lina’s sister’s wedding (which was supposed to be the main plot) was rather unnecessary, but the overall slow burn was actually pretty good.

I was not really a fan of the crazy wordbuilding scattered throughout the story. I know it was supposed to be part of the Revelation, but truthfully, it felt a bit like rambling to me and my eyes kept darting to the next part of the scene because it was too unnecessarily long.

Other than that, a pretty solid book and i really liked it.

This book was so cute. It was slow at the start for me leading up to the trip to Spain, but I love Catalina and Aaron so much. The Martin family was so lovable, and their trip satisfied my fake-relationship-turned-real needs. The last couple chapters slapped me a lil silly with the conflict but overall, enjoyed the book.

This book was definitely too long! I had to make myself read the first half, then I was invested for 100 pages and the rest I just wanted to get through. Don’t get me wrong, it was a fun, although pretty foreseeable (which is fine!) read; it simply could have done with a couple hundred pages less. And especially since it is such a long book (for romance standards that is), I was disappointed that the storyline with Gerald was only scratching the surface of the underlying issue of how men and women are regarded and judged differently when it comes to workplace-romance/relationships. Still, I really enjoyed sometimes laugh-out-loud family/friendship dynamics. Overall I’d say it is great for fans of  the hating game and love theoretically.
