Rick Riordan‘s work once again captured me with its wit, imagination and heart-felt moments. Returning to the world of demigods, ex-gods, ex-immortals and self-proclaimed Gods always feels like checking up on old friends. It was nice to see some familiar faces and meet new friends along the way. I must say after having read 17 of Rick‘s books already you get a feeling for the formula, however so do the characters (Leo commenting there is always a time limit was hilarious) and this self-awareness dances playfully with the line between repetition and innovation, familiarity and jaw-dropping unprophesized quirkiness. Can‘t wait to go on another quest with Apollo and (I dare say) friends
