It’s hard to not just skip to the end, to see how it all unfolds. Especially because the pace feels slow at points. You almost know that people are not who they say they are. I definitely like this one better than the first, but I just wish it was mentally faster.

If the first book was a mixture between Twin Peaks and The Twilight Zone, then the 2nd book in this series is a mixture between The Truman Show and The Purge movies. Ethan Burke, the protagonist of this story, settles into his new role in the town of Wayward Pines. I can't say anything else about the plot to avoid spoilers. All I'll say is that Blake Crouch is a phenomenal writer who understands how to write a proper page-turner. I devoured this book in a day and I can't wait to get started on the third and final book in this series.
