Tom Felton's autobiography not only describes the impact Harry Potter had on his life, but also his life - growing up, learning who he was outside of the Potter world, and how to live with with mental illness. Felton's honesty was moving, especially the final chapters that address his recovery and time in rehab. Surprisingly, I wasn't aware of that aspect of his life and empathized with his journey to mental wellness. Overall, his humor and sincerity made this one of my favorite reads this year.

An engaging autobiography that is both funny and heartfelt, with a message about strength, hope and family. Beautifully narrated by Tom Felton. A reflective and insightful account of the people and experiences that shaped him.

i've always liked tom but reading this book made me realize how much of a normal, ordinary chap he is and how ever the more lovely that is. i really really enjoyed reading this, all of it - his childhood, growing up in a family full of love, the behind the scenes from his acting career before during and after hp, and felt really emotional reading his personal mental health and alcohol abuse struggles.

the film behind the scenes were very approachable and fun. i giggled plenty of times :') i love immensely the love and fondness that emma and tom have for each other, and i admit i was a little surprised to see, that out of all the people who've impacted his life so far, he requested emma to write the foreword for this book. i knew they were close friends off-screen but didn't really know the depth of it. it's rare to find someone who you share such a special connection w, and i'm glad their friendship has endured through the giggles and pains of growing up. it also must have taken an immense amount of courage to put into words something so personal and hard to articulate.

reading this felt like i was catching up w a friend at a cafe and i would absolutely love to do it again 💌

(now i just need to record the part where he says "cuddles" in his typical british way so i can listen to it whenever i want)
