Cute, quick, and not really that necessary, in my opinion. These were minor characters in a previous book so while it's nice to see where they are currently, they're not characters I was all that invested in to begin with. I think I would much rather have seen a "where are they now" on all the couples we've come to know and love from this series.

Sweet but predictable. It was nice to get a happy ending for these two background characters from the series.

(free review copy) ❗️NOVELLA ❗️so it was fun revisiting this world of characters I have loved but I had the same issue with this as I have with all novellas - way too short to write anything fully enough to satisfy my need to really understand the characters and grow with them. So for series readers/lovers, it’s worth the very quick read. For anyone else, probably don’t read this without appreciating the series first

My favorite part of reading Adriana Herrera’s romances is the “found family” friend groups. My favorite part of this one was seeing the others from the American Dreamers books and how they came through for Ari and Yin.
Unfortunately the rest of this story wasn’t much for me. I think I am more of a full story person and not as much for novellas. What I love most in a romance is seeing the couple fall for each other - and this was a story where they were already together. We just watched them get into one (fairly minor) conflict and then get out of it (with a fairly unbelievable resolution). It was fine but not my favorite.
Thank you to Carina and Netgalley for the free ebook.
