Anyone that enjoys thrillers must add this book to their TBR, it will not disappoint. The book flirts with the crazy conspiracy topics but manages to stay realistic enough to engage you, keeping you guessing, at the border of your seat. Throughout the whole book, there is this feeling of tension, like shit is gonna go loose at any moment. You will want to keep reading, you will not want to stop halfway this book and wait until the next day. It is a relatively thick book, but it reads fast. The thought of a potential criminal being active throughout or after so many years is nightmare-like. The characters of Colomba and Dante complement each other quite good, with Colomba being an extremely talented olive officer and Dante being a querky guy, but brilliant at the same time. This is the first book of a trilogy, and I can’t wait to read further on this extremely interesting series!

Was a bit of a slow starter book for me, hard to read another crime/thriller once you have read I am Pilgrim. But it got to the point where I couldn’t put it down. Couple of weird twists and turns, but actually made sense in the end. Really looking forward to reading the next one in the series.

I was surprised by the plot twist and if I was not borrowing this book I would likely re-read it to see if I could have noticed the twist earlier. All in all an entertaining book, I loved how short the sections were which made it easy to stop without being confused. I am curious how the other books may or may not play into this initial book.

As it turns out, I am getting picky with all my thrillers including crime thrillers involving authority figures especially when it comes to police procedurals. There are some nice twists along the way, but overall it was just average to me.

I received an ecopy of this through Netgalley; however, all opinions are my own.

Lettura appassionante, anche se la svolta "complottara" non mi ha del tutto convinta... Ciò nonostante, lo trovo un libro ben scritto e avvincente. Darò una possibilità agli altri libri della trilogia.
