WOW. This one had me going THROUGH IT. What a glorious heart-pounding whirlwind. Alliances lost and found, sweeping war across many lands and climates… this is what a true magical fantasy book should be. Of course I love the romance involved and all of the friendships sewn into the heart of this series, but ACOWAR was definitely heavy on intense battle and strategy and unbridled power, which really drew me in even deeper to that fantasy world where anything could happen. And anything DID happen!! While a little slow through the middle of the story after an incredibly cunning and sharp start, the last 200 pages more than made up for it. Edge of my seat with tears in my eyes, ready to slaughter Hybern like a well-trained Illyrian soldier. It was, in a word, EPIC.

LONG LIVE PRYTHIAN!!!!!

what a rollercoaster from start to finish this book was. I ship Az and Elain as well as Cass and Nesta. I find it hard to believe
Feyre would become a natural leader with her Lady of the Night Court title so easily imo, and i'm not her biggest fan in this book
. I love Rhys and his consistent acts of consent toward Feyre and leadership to his Court are admirable. Mildly disappointed
the monster in the library was just a thing of shadows that embodied everyone's worst fear, as i was anticipating something much more terrifying or graphic in detail, and that both the Bone Carver AND the Weaver bit it, they were interesting villains turned good
. The found family aspect in this book was wonderful as always. I'm getting tired of reading the word "Prick" as the only insult used for anyone ever, but I think the chemistry between all the side characters and their own subplots were excellent. Imo, second book is better so I docked this .25 for the slower pace, too many new characters introduced that had me not even paying attention to who they were (Draydon and his Court in particular, i didn't follow), and trying to keep up with Jurian's twisted history, but this was still very good overall and I can't wait to read the fourth.

This series has just gotten better with every book. I love the way Feyre uses her new skills in this. The small comedic moments between the major plot points. Her snark to everyone. We get to visit more Courts, and get heavy amounts of description, and it's beautiful. There was a lot of drama in this one as Feyre's sisters feature heavily. I love the way secrets are built and then revealed. I also really liked the bit of redemption we see for some of the people the main cast pissed off. I am not a huge fan of battles being heavily described. The battle scenes were very to the point, which I enjoyed. I struggled with Tolkien due to the battle scenes. I appreciate that though most of the plot for this is War, it's not like, heavily gorey.

I did not like some of the twists. Stop making me cry. Ugh. That was pretty much my only dislike.

This book was amazing! A Court Of Mist And Fury was better, but I LOVED this book (which tells you how much I loved ACOMAF lol)!!!

I was very wary when the book started with Feyre back in the Spring court, but honestly, the way she acted & everything she did while there was so badass!! She has really come into her own since ACOTAR, and I think all the thanks goes to Rhysand, who treats her like a man should treat a girl, like a partner! He doesn’t try & control anything she does, or treat her like she’s nothing but a prize. Rhysand is the kind of guy any women would want! New Book Boyfriend for the win!!

You got to know Feyre & Rhysand in ACOMAF, while they got to know each other & figured out who they were for themselves, & to each other. But in ACOWAR, you get to watch them shine as the badass people & couple that they are! You get to see how they complete each other, & love each other. It’s like a dream!
& the rest of the characters are just as amazing! Azriel, Cassian, Mor, Amren; the 6 of them make a family & I love how they all trust & love each other!
I could go on & on with reasons why I love these characters, but then this review, would be a 10 page essay! Lol
So I’ll just leave it with: READ IT FOR YOURSELF! You’ll fall in love with them too!!! 💜

Also, Tamlin Sucks! Idk why I ever liked him?! 🤦🏻‍♀️
I’m just glad he did the right thing in the end!

I have been really enjoying this series so far, enjoyed the increase in plot compared to ACOMAF (not that i didnt LOVE acomaf). I could REALLY do without the constant mentions of rape and sexual assault but I guess I am used to them by now. The descriptive imagery is unparalleled, I felt so immersed in Maas's writing and I cannot wait to start ACOSAF tomorrow!
