It felt weird to read this book and not enjoy it. Usually I'm laughing my head off with Rick Riordan's writing but I think recently in the past my tastes evolved and I have grown to appreciate writing that is deep like John Green and not that child-like writing of Rick Riordan. Don't get me wrong this book was still very good but it took me awhile to finish it and I wasn't enthusiastic about it. I think a fatal flaw Riordan made while writing this book was that he wasn't growing with his readers. Rick Riordan is still writing stories for elementary and middle schoolers when the true fact is that all of his old fans are in high school now. That's why the Harry Potter books were so successful, they matured from book to book just like their readers did.

IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO EXPRESS HOW EXCITED I AM FOR THIS BOOK.
OR MY FRUSTRATION THAT I AM NOT ABLE TO PRE-ORDER IT.
OR MY EXTREME ANNOYANCE THAT I SHALL HAVE TO WAIT ON THE SKETCHY BOOK SELLING OF WAL-MART.
BUT OH MY GOSH I AM EXCITED!!!
