This was really outstanding. With what I knew going into it (travelogue about a research trip studying TE Lawrence), I figured I'd probably like it but I was surprised at how much I did. Barnett's approach to storytelling feels similar to Lucy Knisley, just less polished. This sounds like a negative, but it's not as I don't think it would feel as genuine being any different than it is right now. I really enjoyed the fact that we as readers are seeing Barnett's side of the trip from the perspective of researcher vs. the information learned. I would recommend this to any fans of comic memoirs or travelogues or those that appreciate thinking about the act of research.

Truly fantastic! An insightful and nuanced look into the life of TE and the nature of autobio and memoir stories. Also a compelling work of the comics medium. Left me needing to know more about subject and author both!
