When I read the synopsis of this book on my Libby app, I thought this sounds interesting. It sounds like it could be rather good. Unfortunately for me it was not. I’m really not into the stream of consciousness writing ,the no quotation marks with dialogue style. To me it’s like reading endless babble.  I really didn’t care what was happening to this woman she’s either turning into a dog ,thinks she’s a dog is a dog, and with the ending I’m not really sure was she acting or was she a little bit out of her mind.  I should’ve really Dnf’d after a certain part but I’m not a big dnf’r  of books.  Once I start them I have to finish them —usually because I pay for them.  Luckily, I didn’t buy this one. Got this one off my Libby app that I waited. Three months for.  Wasn’t worth the wait.

I feel there are a lot of great moments in this book but I was left wanting more development. I felt confused by the relationship between the main character and her husband. This is the point, I think, but I just felt that the lack of fleshing out the husband's character made me confused about some of the main character's motivations or decisions relating to him. I also felt that I needed more of a conclusion for the plotline

about Wanda White. I didn't need an explicit answer about who she was but I felt that this thread got tied up too quickly and I was left wanting more.

Overall, I enjoyed the book, but felt more interested in certain parts / themes than others.
