Every time I read, watch, or listen to this play, it grows more poignant.

audiobook note: A superb adaptation by the L.A. Theater Works Company. Well-voiced and well-paced.

this is just so real and so black and so beautiful, i wish i wasn’t forced to read this with white peers. this play in a way feels like it was INTENDED for the Black community. the display of dynamics within the community, tension, misogyny etc., it can all be seen now. i don’t know any other way to summarize my love for this play but i would love to see it live.
