DNF @ 10%

I'm not giving this book a 1 star because I got so little into this book it feels wrong to slam it completely. I am giving it a 2 star because I was bored and my predictions from the first book was correct and this sucks.

Shes is described as a unicorn by the enforcers and that is a good description of her. I'm super disappointed because this series could have been amazing but the main character being a bit of a flake just doesn't appeal.

Unfortunate but there you go.

SPOILERS!

Can't wait for the next book and that ending! But am I the only one that is kind of dissapointed at the ending? the fact that Charlie is not the FIRST and only female Ash? Of course I don't know what will happen but knowing a bit about Charlie the other one should have also been a direct descendent to another house... for me my opinion it kind of sucks, I love charlie she is bad-ass and I liked the fact that she was the only and someone different.. and kind of have to say another girl in the group? I liked the group we had.. now we wait..

Loved

Loved Anarchy as much as the first book it was action packed from the opening lines, Loved how much closer Charlie and Ryder become totally cementing there relationship. We also get to see a lot more of the sexy six's personalities which was great, a fab addition to the hive trilogy looking forward to part three.

I just can't with these books anymore.

Besides everything wrong with the first book, which I could sort of overlook because there was potential the world building is frustratingly imprecise sometimes. Up until 3 hours into this SECOND book I had thought it took place in an alternative universe but in our time, more or less. Then, suddenly, there are numerous apparently clear color photographs of an event that supposedly took place 200 years ago according to the first book. Either the authors forgot how long ago it supposedly took place, or something else is off. Either way, this sort of thing is something that seriously throws me off when I'm trying to work out how this world works.

Also, the audiobook narrator is the incredibly irritating Dara Rosenberg, who does not sound like a badass 20-something but an early menopausal lady constantly at the edge of tears. Her voice has been part of previous DNFs for me, but I've also gotten through some things she's read so it's not enough on its own. She also makes a lot of mistakes, some of which are obvious from context, like "television walking", some of which might explain the weirdness of this whole thing. Some of which are just mispronouncing words making them difficult to interpret. Maybe everything confusing about these books is just Dara not reading them correctly, but I doubt it.

I enjoyed this ride. I definitely was smiling most of the time while reading this. It was fun. I must also admit that there were some hiccups as I was thinking that the FL wasn't thinking straight at some points or she was doing something stupid. Thankfully, the other characters made up for it or the succeeding scenes were better that I wasn't fully annoyed.

I love the twists and I also like it that I am unable to predict what's going to happen next.

Anyway, that ending made me soooooo happy that I am not one of the people who had to wait for that last book. On that note, I'll be reading it now. ☺️

So I'll admit it. I didn't actually finish this book. I couldn't. I loved the first book in this series and was really excited to see where this story would go. But 75% of the way through and I just couldn't take it anymore. Charlie is so obnoxious I actually want to see her die. And not as a martyr, but as someone's dinner. Her "controlling take-charge personality" translates to her being a total bitch. I can't imagine a group of men who have worked together for decades suddenly bending to the new girl's every whim and spending their free-time guarding her like she's a queen. They would never let that spoiled brat boss them around and risk their lives just because she wants something. Sorry. I HAVE to be able to love the characters to love the book.... and I HATE Charlie. I would love to punch her in the face.

Charlie and her friends are in more danger than they imagined. When people start to find out about Charlie's blood, and the vampires start doing more horrible things, Charlie decides to take matters into her own hands.

However, Ryder, and the rest of the sexy six won't let her be alone while she does it. She's going to destroy the hive no matter what, but she must make sure her friends are safe first.

This book was interesting, but not as good as the first one. I really loved the first one better, there was a lot more to it.

This one had some drama, and relationship stuff with Ryder that was awesome. But, I felt like it was really lacking something that the first one had.

And this one also ended in a cliffhanger, but I'm super excited to read the next one and figure out what Charlie does next.

This is a very good paranormal series with a twist of Vampires that I adore.

I did not like this book I thought the writing was poor, and there was an over use of cussing. Would not recommend, was set up like there was going to be a lot of smut and then there wasn’t, it was just really weird. I did not get the vibe. Completely boring.
