Not a perfect book, but so important. I’m so glad to have his experience, the beauty of it, the pain of it.

I enjoyed listening to elliot’s story I didn’t know much about him before this so it was interesting to learn about his experience.

I struggled a bit with this because the book doesn't follow a chronological timeline and i had a hard time keeping track of everything as we bounced around periods of their life. As well, there were aspects of their style of writing that I didn’t enjoy. Their word choice at times felt too vulgar for my liking.

There were also some triggering topics that I didn’t expect but that’s on me for not looking for content warnings prior to reading.

I didn’t need all of the Canada geography tbh but I did enjoy getting to know him more. A very intimate book.

I loved Page's often blunt word choice, and also enjoyed how he jumped through time, though I did start getting a bit lost after a while. This one was hard at times to read because of how relentless it was. It felt like there wasn't much light. Even the more positive relationships were wrapped up in how those relationships helped Page get through particular low points. I admire Page so much for his visibility and I hope that if he writes another one of these down the line, it will contain some more light-hearted fun and mirth.
