A wonderful hopefully and sometimes heartbreaking book about life as a trans person as told by a trans person. And not just any person but a celebrity. Because of this book I can imagine how horrible things were for Elliot before he came out, when he first came out, and when he came out again.

The chapters where he reflects on his parents, their reactions, and how they treated him broke me into a million pieces. I love my children and always will; no matter who they are or grow up to be.

Elliot describing what it felt like to finally be able to be his true self and feel comfortable in his skin was so powerful. I’m glad the world has him and this book.

Elliot Page did a fantastic job at describing and communicating how he was feeling growing up and how he ended up being able to finally be himself.

It was such an insightful book about the struggles of growing up feeling different than everyone else, but not quite understanding why. It's about accepting people the way they are, without trying to change them. Sometimes that includes cutting people out of your life, who can't accept you for who you are.

It was very moving and I felt for him the whole time.
The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars, are the time skips from chapter to chapter. For me, it was a bit confusing trying figure out at what time in his life it happened.

Apart from that, a great book, dealing with some hard topics, but it's also hopeful and I wish him all the best.

If you like raw and chaotic memoirs this is for you.

I enjoyed and didn't enjoy this book all a the same time.  I loved the story & was saddened by all the things Elliot has gone through.

This book very much felt like a conversation and the timeline jumps all over the place.

No matter what it is a brave story to tell and I will always be an Elliot Page fan :)
