This is my favorite Shakespeare. It's basically an early horror movie/thriller and it's so good. Macbeth is short, it's action-packed, and it's beautifully written. Lady Macbeth is a fascinating character, and also the Macbeths are the only happily married couple in all of Shakespeare. There are a whole bunch of great versions, but my favorite is the Globe production from 2013, it's excellent. This is the most fun to read of all the Shakespeare I've done, so if you can't get it to watch that's also an option.

1st read: Had severely low expectations but as it happens shakespeare deserves the hype. I can’t wait to re read this two more times
