I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. To me it was really interesting. It heavily focuses on the usage of plague in literature and on social consequences of plagues. If you are interested in how the usage of plaque in the bible influenced the perception of the black death and other deadly disease, how great authors like Homer, Sophokles and Shakespeare used plaque and how they were influenced by the real life epidemic and how plaque and disease is viewed and used in the modern world. This book also dives into the zombie trope and how it is connected to plaque and what it can represent.
This isn't for everyone though. This book or rather lecture focuses on a certain audience.
