This was a great young adult book. I read it with my son as a school wide project. I loved the over arching theme of finding your place in the world when you feel alone and different. I feel it gives kids a great role model of pursing your dreams and never giving up.

Deepened my understanding of how it feels to be deaf. Clean novel. Only content of concern is child wants to run away but instead grandmother and her runaway together on trip.
