What a silly book. I would guess this is probably a better representation of Goosebumps in general than my first book was. I can see why kids enjoy the books, it’s hard to say if I would have as a kid or not.... maybe if there were some staring girls I would have liked those.

Fairly mediocre book. It reminded me a lot of Night of the Living Dummy II, an inanimate object coming to life but not really doing anything more than causing a little bit of mischief. Except this time it wasn't even a creepy ventriloquist doll, just some garden gnomes. I didn't really love it.

My son asked me to read this book because he had really enjoyed it. I complied because I have noticed that when I take his recommendations seriously he seems to engage more as a reader. It wasn't as bad as I expected, but I am really hoping his next recommendation is NOT a Goosebumps!
