there are two smut scenes, one at the beginning, one at the end (i think they're okay but nothing special really)
why the fuck did they not even speak to each other for the most parts of the book? he says at the beginning that he wants to get to know her and her personality but all he really knows about her is her body ... i wanted someting sweet and there wasn't much of that

Thoughts:

Couldn’t sleep, so I picked up a quick little goody. I’m now determined to read this series in its entirety. So cute! Loved Aldrig! Nothing like smutty monster romance novella to refresh your palette in between books 🥰

Omg I was soo scared for Lucy!! 🤣🌶️ iykyk. But all in all, as the first book to the series, Layla Fae did a great job introducing it. I can’t wait to see where this series goes and how all the authors communicate to creat such a large universe.

For such a short story, I feel like Aldrig and Lucy's motivations were well explained and their dynamics made sense. I loved how much respect Aldrig had for Lucy right out the gate. They worked well together. A good start to the series.
