OH MY GOSH! This Book had me going through every emotion in the book! I read this book some months ago... and I just haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. This was the perfect workplace, enemies to lovers romance! I LOVEE me a good CEO x Employee and Shain Rose nailed it!

DNF at 3%. Call me petty but would it have killed the author to at least google hacking?

"A few clicks for him, a few hacks, and he'd be raking through my deepest darkest secrets."

Yeah, cause that's how hacking works

This started off in the middle of an idea then fell down a schizophrenic disjointed rabbit hole. The plot was rushed and the story overall felt very forced. Like when you’re in grade school figuring out how to write an essay and have to spiderweb diagram your thoughts. I tried but this was just not for me.

Izzy complains over and over that Cade "doesn't want me working for the government." It's the entire first few chapters. They work in cybersecurity and the approach to their job is so juvenile and under thought out. The writing relies on gimmicky tropes (her boyfriend telling her to lose a few pounds before they can get back together) and the humor is not funny. I'm tired of immature characters and poor writing that authors think is so witty. This has no substance and no foundation. There's no depth to either character.

Also I know we’re supposed to suspend belief but him being from the most notorious mob family and working for the government protecting our nation was too far fetched for me. Pick a lane.

So good that I finished it in one sitting. Debating starting the next one right now or not. I didn’t read the first one, so I may need to backtrack.

I just hate Cade, especially in the last half of the book. My dislike for Cade grew as the book progressed. I just don’t like this book. I’ve liked other books by this author, the heroine is strong and the only reason I decided to finish this book, BUT Cade fucking armenellie ruined this book. I just hate his character sooo much.
