Definitely a romance novel about how others opinions can shape your ideas without merit. It is also a great take on how being called out on pride can be a growing opportunity if one sees it that way. Darcy was hurt by Lizzy's rejection but took her complaints to heart and worked on improving himself so that she may enjoy who he has grown to become.

I expected this book to be merely a romance, not having heard much about it despite it's good reputation. What I got was a drama that enticed me to keep reading. I had trouble putting it down, despite the fact that it was somewhat predictable - but I attribute this to it being a classic.

Nothing is as it seems, and the themes of pride and prejudice are expertly interwoven in the plot; stated but not overdone.

Despite the language it's not impossible to understand, and if anything it's interesting and eye opening to read it in such a way.

I am beyond glad I read this book.
