After seeing Lorhaven as a villain in the first book of the series and then seeing him turn down the villainess in the second book, it was really nice to see him turn into the good guy in this third book. The love and concern he had for his brother was perfect and that same love and concern he pushed toward Joey was beautiful. Joey being the strong willed woman she was, wasn't having any of Lorhaven's softness in the beginning but she slowly melted as the story continued on. I listened to this via Audible and the narrators were perfect.

I wasn't sure I was gonna like Lorhaven but I still wanted to give it a try because come on, it's Cambria Hebert we are talking about here.
I didn't just like the book, I freakin' loved it. Ok I admit no one can take Drew and Trent' s place in my heart, but Josie and Jace are a really close second.
Can't wait for the next book.

It's no secret my love of #Hashtag Series and Cambria Hebert. I liked this book, but struggled with the break neck speed of the romance. I adored Joey and Lorhaven but wish there had been more buildup in their relationship; it just felt rushed. I'm excited for Arrow's book next.

Less intense than the previous two in the series more hate to love. While serious at times, as both characters have serious pasts, it was fun watching them come into their own and not what they allowed themselves to be pigeonholed into.

Such a great read!

I wasn’t sure how much I would like it because Lorhaven was pretty much a dick in the last books. I ended up loving him!

The romance between him and Joey was sweet, beautiful and possessive and I loved everything about it.

Will continue with the rest of the series, Definitely recommend.

The misogyny every lead character displayed was nauseating and that sucks fuck the not like other girls protagonist whose arc revolves around making their own path in a field she is looked down upon, and then turns and slut shames all the other girls in the world fuck you

This book seems perfectly placed as a third installment in the GearShark series. After two books following Trent and Drew (4ever!), Jace Lorhaven is here to let you know he's his own man and he will not be ignored. Yes, his name is Jace and yes, that in and of itself is ridiculously attractive.

If you, like me, were unsure about Lorhaven because he initially comes off as a villain, don't be scared. He has his own book -- which means there are things you don't know about him. So buckle up for the ride!

At first, Joey and Lorhaven are at each other's throats. She's a woman in a male-dominated sport, and beyond that, she's trying to merge into the new indie racing division. Lorhaven, who's trying to become the best indie driver on the track, says Joey doesn't belong. But even though these two start off like fire and gasoline -- oh they flames they create are amazing!

Both of these characters are so compelling. Joey is a strong, capable woman who isn't afraid to put herself out there and meet the challenges in front of her. Jace is confident and protective, but he's also incredibly understanding and a great listener. One of my favorite parts of this book (in addition to the spice, of course) is their first date where they're just talking. It's so sweet and meaningful.

Once secrets start to come to light about what Joey has been hiding -- the plot thickens. I promise you will be turning page after page to find out how it all ends!
