I’m so sad because I really enjoyed the first few chapters and the banter between Daisy & Liam was so entertaining but the relationship development was too fast for me (to be fair this is a second chance romance) and the amount of contractions made me want to pull my hair out (characters say one thing but then do another thing).

Also check TWs - it was supposed to give depth to the characters but it felt very surface level and everyone was wayyy too forgiving to a guy that left with no warning for 10 years.

How tension in a romance should be: like a balloon that is constantly on the edge of bursting and finally bursts near the end
How tension in the Dating Plan was: balloon was fairly full, but someone had put teeny tiny holes in it and the air just slowly fizzled out until i stopped caring.

 "Everyone has a weakness (L). What's yours? (D). You. (L)."

This was just as good as I remember! The Dating Plan is a second chance, brother's best friend, marriage of convenience romance with a South East Asian (Indian) American FMC and Irish American MMC. There is a meet-cute reunion, plenty of witty banter and tension between our two protagonists, Daisy and Liam. But what I love most about this book is the close family dynamics: An Irish pub, matchmaking aunties, shark fin stew... love it! Only downside was Liam's asshole brother Brendan, who I absolutely despised.
