I really liked The Rabbi's Cat. It's a light philosophical graphic novel that is very funny to read. I love the cat questioning everything, or making observations about humans.

This is a wacky, fun book. Thought it would be fun to learn about Judaism through a Rabbi's cat, but this is one ornery cat! Don't think I learned much, but I did enjoy the book.

A great graphic novel. Beautifully drawn, beautifully told, these are three stories about a rabbi and his cat in Algeria around the middle of the last century. In the first story the cat eats a parrot and as a result becomes able to speak. He wants to get Bar Mitzvahed and has a theological debate with his rabbi's on the topic. It contains two other equally good stories, all told with humor and wisdom reminiscent of Issac Bashevis Singer.

It's a decently funny and thought-provoking read. Admittedly, the font was a bit of a frustrating choice as some was difficult to decipher, but otherwise, not a bad graphic novel.

This graphic novel is very different from the books I have recently been reading, but that doesn't mean it wasn't amazing! The story is filled with Jewish and Rabbinic laws and traditions, and transports you to another world! That's what I loved about reading this, that I didn't feel like I was at home, but that I was in some other country. I love reading books that immerse you in familiar or unfamiliar cultures. While graphic novels usually don't interest me much, this story is not what I first expected it to be. It is much more dense than I first expected, with more mature content, and immersed me in Judaism in a way I haven't felt or experienced before with a book. This cat and his travels with the rabbi are definitely worth the read! It is also an excellent book to read at your leisure, the pages just fly by.
