Up until that moment I thought the book was a bit boring, and cheesy, I disliked the stalking for love thing, and in fact it didn't make much sense to me that the protagonist would fall that hard for Rhiannon (which doesn't have a likeable personality, in my opinion), but also I thought the book was alright. I was probably going to rate it 3.5 But no, that chapter was... Disgusting. Not because that day-life was disgusting, if not for the utter fatphobia. According to Levithan, obese people are: lazy, slow, they don't have an interesting mind, they look very ugly, they are a failure.
I guess this author needs to inform himself a bit more next time.
It's all a shame, because I liked other books by him, in fact I still have a few more unread books he wrote waiting in my bookcases, but... I don't feel like touching a book he wrote ever again. I'm disgusted at him. So much for diversity, huh?
Despite all, I finished the book, but I only saw myself rolling my eyes at all the cheesiness.
I'm giving this a 1 instead of a 0, because I only started to hate the book at about 85%

Because of the nature of the body switching, it covers a lot of different life scenarios, which includes a lot of possibly triggering situations.novella42's review against another edition

I turn to the excellent audiobook to get me through hard days.
I just... I keep coming back to this book because it keeps meaning more and new and different things to me at different times in my life. I know it's a young adult book, but I'm 37, and was born with a disability. As a kid I would have given anything to have A's blessing/curse. The story of A's life reminds me of the many different facets of human existence, and helps me feel less alone.

I very much enjoyed this book and will definitely watch the movie to see if it is as good as the book it is based on.
