First book I’ve read from Gaiman, definitely a great and “lighter” starter. I love the absurdism and childlike storytelling. It was great:)
Chris Riddell’s art style is amazing and gives such a nice touch to the novel.
This is definitely aimed at children and it’s clear by the story, but there’s also much to enjoy as an “adult”, the jokes and characters were seriously hilarious!

Outstanding story by Mr. Gaiman. My 8-year old read it first, several times through and couldn't stop talking about it, so I figured I needed to give it a go. It was a delightful, 20-minute read.

I always love Neil Gaiman's books. This is a children's book that's very silly, but it's as interesting and enjoyable as his others. Gaiman is just such a good story teller.

I have the Chris Riddell illustrated edition and I really think his illustrations add so much to the story. The Gaiman/Riddell team is always a winner in my mind.

Read with my 5-year old, as we break into the world of chapter books together. This book is great. Kids sci-fi intro with fun illustrations on every page that inspire a lot of interesting questions. The story is funny and surprising. Definitely recommend.
