Moderate: Misogyny
This book is the passion project of a dude who would have been better served going to therapy. A lot of it comes off as whiny and annoying, almost trying to get the reader feel bad for him ¿? The word “depression” is used often, usually preceded by “deep”, but never correctly. It’s like he wanted this to redeem him when not taking any of the contracts he accepted would have done exponentially more. He does get half a star back because, although I felt like most of this was common knowledge by 2022, it was first written in 2005 when most of this stuff would have been unheard of. It is legitimately useful and interesting to have an industry insider turn his back, which is why I finished the book, but again it feels like it was done for all the wrong reasons.
