By no means bad. Shaughnessy is too straightforward in her critiques to the point where it feels a bit lecture-like. The first section is so elegant and moving and near perfect and the rest of the work fails to compete. It’s also not the strongest or most consistent collection. I appreciate the sentiment but ultimately I could not get into the rhythm with this one.
