أولًا: أنا لا أحب المونودراما إطلاقًا، واختيارها كقالب من أجل حكي قصة جيدة كالتي يحملها هذا الكتاب كان اختيارًا سيئًا للغاية.
ثانيًا: لا يمكن اعتبار (الكونترباص) عملا أدبيًا بالمرة، بل هو مجرد استعراض وحشد لعدد ضخم من المعلومات الموسيقية المختزنة في ذهن المؤلف.
ثالثًا: قد يُنصح به لطلبة كلية التربية الموسيقية والكونسرفتوار من أجل مساعدتهم في استذكار دروسهم النظرية، لا أكثر ولا أقل.
