This book begins to answer some of the burning questions you have in the first 2 books, leaving you speechless! And then more questions develop and you wonder what in the world is happening!!! I love the continuing development of all these characters.
However, This book was a bit hard to follow for the first half. The timeline felt sort of jumbled for awhile which did lead to some confusion.

sooo much better than book 2. i found book 2 to be way too repetitive with all the war and battle stuff. there’s a lot less of that in this book and it mostly focuses on the politics. since there are so many characters in different locations, it keeps the conversations varied and interesting. however, i do feel like establishing 8 POVs was a mistake. there are just too many characters and several only get a couple POV chapters. it doesn’t really seem like it was important that ALL of these characters get their own POVs. i do also feel like there might be too much going on?? several romances, mystery assassins, whatever is going on with celestine and the magemarked characters, the entire ending where it’s revealed Han is in Aediion and Ash needs to find a way to travel there and talk to him and learn about the enemies on the council and oh btw since raisa technically died alyssa is queen now?? BUT i’m glad everything is actually starting to come together in this book.
Moderate: Sexual assault
